Tatiana Mais is a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of clinical experience across emergency medicine, primary care, and psychiatry.

Her approach to care is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. With a background in both medical and mental health settings, she brings a comprehensive perspective to patient care, recognizing the close connection between physical and emotional well-being.

Tatiana approaches each patient through a biopsychosocial lens, considering the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence overall health. She is committed to developing a deeper understanding of each individual’s experience, allowing for accurate diagnosis and meaningful, individualized treatment planning.

Her approach is also shaped by her experiences both professionally and personally, allowing her to connect with patients in a grounded and compassionate way. Her path to psychiatry was further shaped during her time in primary care, where she witnessed the challenges patients faced in accessing timely mental health services, often waiting months for care. These experiences, along with disparities in care and the stigma surrounding mental health in the Hispanic community, strengthened her commitment to providing thoughtful, accessible, and culturally responsive care.

Her clinical work includes comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for a range of conditions, including anxiety, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and more complex presentations such as bipolar and psychotic disorders. She collaborates closely with therapists and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated, well-rounded care.

Tatiana is bilingual in English and Spanish and has experience working with diverse populations in both outpatient and community mental health settings. She is dedicated to creating a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their care.

She believes that meaningful care begins with being truly heard and understood, and is committed to supporting patients with clarity, intention, and compassion throughout their care.
